    If driving, head towards the entrance of White Clay Creek State Park. Once inside the park, follow Creek Road. The Nature Center is located at 1475 Creek Rd, Newark, DE 19711. Look for the parking lot at the Nature Center. There are daily entrance fees to the park from March 1 through November 30: $3 for Delaware residents and $6 for non-residents. Annual passes can be purchased for $27 (residents) or $54 (non-residents).

    If you are already within White Clay Creek State Park, follow the designated trails towards the Nature Center. The trails are well-marked, and you can enjoy the scenic views of the park on your way. The Nature Center is approximately a 30-minute walk from the park's main entrance. No additional costs are involved.

White Clay Creek State Park Nature Center, a hidden gem in Newark, Delaware, offers a unique blend of natural beauty and engaging educational experiences. However, opposition to the dam led to the preservation of the area, and in the 1980s, DuPont donated the land to create a preserve. Today, the park spans over 3,559 acres and offers over 41 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking. The Chambers House, a 200-year-old farmhouse, currently houses the Nature Center. A $9 million initiative is underway to construct a new nature center to modernize the facilities. The current Nature Center is staffed by the Friends of White Clay Creek State Park on weekends from May through October. Visitors can explore field guides, nature activity guides, and books on local natural resources. The first floor features an exhibit room with a hollow tree to crawl in, perfect for reading nature story books. White Clay Creek State Park offers a variety of activities and amenities, including accessible fishing docks, a disc golf course, a pavilion, and a bandshell. The park is also home to historical landmarks and cultural sites, including portions of the Mason-Dixon Line.
