Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from other parts of North Zealand, take the E47 highway towards Copenhagen. Follow signs for 'København' and exit onto the Hillerød motorway (Route 19). Continue on this road until you reach the city center of Copenhagen. Once you are in the city, follow signs for 'Kastellet' or 'Amalienborg', as the Gefion Fountain is located near these landmarks. Park at one of the public parking options near Churchillparken.

• Train

  For those traveling by train, take a train from stations such as Hillerød or Helsingør to Copenhagen Central Station (København H). From the central station, you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or take a bus. If walking, head southwest towards the city center, passing Tivoli Gardens and continuing towards the waterfront. If you prefer the bus, take bus number 1A or 26 from the central station, which will take you close to Churchillparken.

• Bus

  You can also take a direct bus from various locations in North Zealand. Check local schedules for buses heading to Copenhagen. Once in the city, take bus number 1A or 26, which will drop you off near Churchillparken. The fountain is a short walk from the bus stop.

• Walking

  If you're staying nearby or have arrived at a central location in Copenhagen, you can easily walk to Gefion Fountain. From Amalienborg Palace, head towards Churchillparken, and you will find the fountain located in the park.
