Starting from the center of Santiago de los Caballeros, drive north on Autopista Duarte (Highway 1). Follow the signs for Puerto Plata. After approximately 30 kilometers, you'll reach the junction for Puerto Plata. Take the exit towards Puerto Plata and continue on Avenida 27 de Febrero. Follow this road until you reach the coast. Once you arrive in Puerto Plata, look for signs towards Playa Teco Maimón, which is located just to the east of the main city area. After about 10 minutes of driving, you will arrive at Playa Teco Maimón. Parking is usually available near the beach, though you may need to pay a small fee (around 100-200 Dominican Pesos depending on the area).

From Santiago de los Caballeros, take a guagua (shared minibus) heading to Puerto Plata. The ride typically costs around 150 Dominican Pesos and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Puerto Plata, you can take a local taxi or a motorcycle taxi (motoconcho) to Playa Teco Maimón, which should cost around 200-300 Dominican Pesos. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand. The journey from the city center to the beach will take about 15-20 minutes.
