    From San Juan Valley, start by heading east on the main road (Carretera San Juan - Santiago). Continue for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Carretera Juan Pablo Duarte. Take a left onto Carretera Juan Pablo Duarte and drive for about 15 kilometers. You will pass through several small towns along the way. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Puerto Plata. After about 15 kilometers, merge onto the Autopista 5 (also known as Autopista del Nordeste) heading towards Puerto Plata. Continue on this highway until you reach the exit for Playa Diamante.
