If you're traveling by car, start your journey from any point in Sierra de Bahoruco towards the town of Neiba. Once in Neiba, take the road towards the south that leads to the coast. This road will eventually turn into the Carretera a Pedernales. Continue on this road until you reach the town of Pedernales. Upon entering Pedernales, follow the signs directing you to Playa Pedernales. The beach is located approximately 10 km from the town center. Be cautious of the road conditions as some areas may be rough. Parking is available near the beach.

For those using public transportation, you can take a 'guagua' (local minibus) from Neiba to Pedernales. The journey typically takes about 1-2 hours depending on the number of stops. Make sure to confirm that the guagua is heading directly to Pedernales. Once you arrive in Pedernales, you can either walk or take a local motoconcho (motorcycle taxi) to Playa Pedernales, which is roughly a 15-minute ride from the town center. The fare for the motoconcho is usually around 100-150 Dominican Pesos.

If you prefer a more comfortable and direct option, you can hire a taxi from Neiba to Playa Pedernales. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should generally range from 1500 to 2500 Dominican Pesos depending on your negotiation skills and the time of day. The taxi will take you directly to the beach, making the trip about 1 hour long.
