From Paraíso, the most direct way to reach Platón Eco Lodge is by taxi or ride-share. Negotiate the fare beforehand, as prices are not metered. Expect to pay around 800-1200 DOP for the approximately 7km trip, which takes about 20-30 minutes due to the mountainous terrain. Ensure the driver is familiar with Rancho Platon, as the lodge is located within the Rancho. Note that a 4x4 vehicle is recommended, and sometimes necessary, especially after heavy rainfall.

Public Transport
Alternatively, from Barahona, take a 'carrito' (shared taxi) towards Paraíso. These depart from the main bus terminal in Barahona. The fare to Paraíso is approximately 100 DOP. From Paraíso, you will need to hire a local taxi or 'motoconcho' (motorcycle taxi) for the final ascent to Platón Eco Lodge, as public transport does not directly reach the lodge. Negotiate the fare in advance; expect to pay around 500-800 DOP for a taxi or less for a motoconcho. Be aware that the motoconcho ride can be bumpy and is not recommended for those with mobility issues or heavy luggage.
