    If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Sierra de Bahoruco and head southeast on the main road. Follow the signs towards the coastal town of Barahona. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the junction for the 'Carretera de Baní.' Take this road heading south towards Baní. Continue on this road until you see signs for 'Salinas de Baniplaya.' The location is approximately 15 minutes from the junction, and you will see the salt flats on the right side as you approach. There are no tolls on this route.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Sierra de Bahoruco to Barahona. Buses frequently depart from the main bus terminal. The fare is typically around 100 DOP (Dominican Pesos). Once you arrive in Barahona, look for a local 'carro público' (shared taxi) heading towards Baní. The cost for the shared taxi is approximately 50 DOP per person. Inform the driver that you need to go to Salinas de Baniplaya, and they will drop you off near the entrance.
