If you are driving from the main road (E35), take the exit towards Zumbahua. Follow the signs for Quilotoa. Once in Zumbahua, look for signs pointing to Muelle Lago Quilotoa. The final stretch involves a dirt road that leads directly to the muelle, which is approximately 10-15 minutes from Zumbahua. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for dirt roads, as some sections can be rough.

From Quilotoa, you can catch a local bus or shared taxi that heads towards Zumbahua. The journey will take about 30 minutes and the fare is usually around $2. Once you arrive in Zumbahua, you will need to walk approximately 30 minutes to reach Muelle Lago Quilotoa. Follow the dirt road signs heading towards the lake, and you will arrive at the muelle.

If you are already in the Quilotoa area, you can hike from the main viewpoint down to Muelle Lago Quilotoa. This hike can take around 1-2 hours depending on your pace. Start from the Quilotoa Crater Lake viewpoint and follow the marked trails leading down towards the lake. The trails are well-maintained but can be steep, so wear appropriate footwear and bring water.
