    From the center of Viðareiði, walk north along Garðsvegur road. The hike starting point is located at the end of Garðsvegur road in Við Garð. The walk is approximately 1 km and should take about 15-20 minutes.

  • Public Transport

    From Tórshavn, take the bus to Klaksvík (route 400), then transfer to the bus to Viðareiði (route 500). The bus stops in the center of Viðareiði. From the bus stop, walk north along Garðsvegur road. The hike starting point is located at the end of Garðsvegur road in Við Garð. The walk is approximately 1 km and should take about 15-20 minutes. The total journey takes approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes. A single fare on the bus from Tórshavn to Viðareiði costs approximately 90 DKK.

  • Car

    From any location in the Faroe Islands, head towards Viðareiði on Viðoy Island. Use Route 10 to connect the islands. Once in Viðareiði, follow Garðsvegur Street to the northern part of the village. There is limited free parking available near the trailhead. Be mindful of parking regulations.
