Getting There

  • Walking

    The Landsbókasavnið is located on J.C. Svabosgøta, on the fringe of the center of Tórshavn. From the Steinatún bus station in the city center, walk southeast on Gongin towards Vaglið, then turn left onto Niels Finsens gøta. Continue onto J.C. Svabos gøta; the library will be on your left. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes. There are no costs associated with walking.

From the bus station, several routes will take you close to the library. Get off at a nearby stop and walk a short distance to J.C. Svabos gøta.
