Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Tórshavn city center, head northeast on Nielsensgøta towards the harbor. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront area, where you will see the iconic colored houses on your right. Keep walking alongside the harbor until you reach the end of the waterfront, then turn left onto Bryggjubakki. Tórshavn Cathedral will be on your right side after a short walk.

    From the main bus terminal in Tórshavn, take bus number 1 towards Viðarlundin. Stay on the bus for about 5 minutes and get off at the Bryggjubakki stop. Once you exit the bus, walk back towards the waterfront and follow Bryggjubakki; Tórshavn Cathedral will be on your right.
