Discover more about View on Mullafossur and Gasadalur village

Múlafossur Waterfall is located near the village of Gásadalur on the island of Vágar in the Faroe Islands. The waterfall drops dramatically into the North Atlantic Ocean, creating a mesmerizing scene of natural beauty. The combination of the cascading water, the rugged cliffs, and the charming village makes it a photographer's paradise and a must-visit destination. Gásadalur remained isolated until 2004 when the Gásadalstunnilin tunnel was built. Before that, the village was only accessible by boat, helicopter, or a strenuous hike over the mountains. The tunnel's construction improved access, but Gásadalur has retained its charm and unique atmosphere. Visitors can take leisurely walks along the paths to the waterfall, soaking in the beauty of the surroundings. The best time to visit is during the summer months when the weather is milder, but the waterfall is stunning year-round. Be prepared for changing weather conditions.
