If you are already in Tórshavn, the Landsbókasavnið is easily accessible on foot. From the ferry terminal, head east towards the city center. Continue along J.C. Svabos gøta, and you will reach the library in about 15-20 minutes. This walk offers a pleasant way to experience the local architecture and atmosphere of Tórshavn.

Public Transport
Tórshavn's red city buses, Bussleiðin, provide free transportation throughout the municipality. Check the bus routes and timetables to find the most convenient connection to the library. All lines converge at Steinatún square and most also at Á Hálsi, which make for easy transfers. The bus system is free-of-charge for both local citizens and visitors.

Driving
If driving, you can park in the city center, but be aware of parking restrictions. Parking is free, but there is a time limit in the city center. Display a parking disc in the lower right-hand corner of the front windscreen to show your arrival time. Parking discs are available for free from banks and regional tourist centers. There are parking lots with 8-hour parking within a four-minute walk. Observe the blue parking signs for time limits, which are enforced Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. Fines for parking violations are DKK 200.
