Getting There

Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Saksun. Head southwest on the main road (Route 58) towards the coast. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will see a sign for Út á Lónna. Turn right onto the gravel road that leads down to the Black Beach. Continue on this road for about 800 meters until you reach the beach area. There is a small parking area at the end, where you can leave your car.

If you are using public transport, take the bus from Tórshavn to Saksun. The bus service is limited, so check the schedule in advance. Once you arrive in Saksun, you will need to walk to Út á Lónna. From the bus stop, head southwest on the main road (Route 58) for roughly 1 kilometer. Look for the sign directing you to Út á Lónna and follow the gravel road down to the beach. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop to the beach.
