Getting There

    If you're starting from the main settlement in Skúvoy, take the local road heading towards the east side of the island. Drive approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the ferry terminal at the northern end of Skúvoy. Here, you will board the ferry to the larger island of Sandoy. The ferry operates several times daily, but be sure to check the schedule in advance as times may vary. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Sandoy, follow the signs to the main road heading north towards the village of Dalur. From Dalur, take the road heading west until you arrive at the southern coast of Sandoy, where you can catch another ferry to the island of Hestur. Finally, from Hestur, you will take a quick boat ride to Faeroes, located just off the coast.

    If you prefer public transportation, start at the local bus stop in Skúvoy. Take the bus heading to the ferry terminal; buses typically run every hour. Once at the ferry terminal, board the ferry to Sandoy. After disembarking at Sandoy, you must switch to a local bus that will take you towards Dalur. From Dalur, you will need to catch another bus that travels to the west side of Sandoy, where you can access the ferry to Hestur. From Hestur, a boat service will take you to Faeroes. Be mindful of the bus and ferry schedules, as they may be limited, especially on weekends.
