Getting There

Walking
Starting from the center of Strendur, head towards the main road (Route 1). Walk along the road in the direction of the Eysturoy tunnel. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will see a sign for 'Risin og Kellingin' on your left. Follow the path leading up towards the hillside. The trail is well-marked and will take you directly up to the viewpoint. The total walking distance is about 2 kilometers from Strendur to the viewpoint, and it should take you around 30-40 minutes to reach, depending on your pace.

From Strendur, you can take a bus towards the nearby village of Gjógv or Eiði. Check the local bus schedule for the latest times. Get off at the nearest stop to the viewpoint, which is usually at 'Eiði'. From there, follow the signs for 'Risin og Kellingin', which will lead you to the starting point of the walking trail. It's approximately a 20-minute walk from the bus stop to the viewpoint.
