Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From the Kotka bus station, take bus number 5 or 6 towards the coastal areas. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Santalahti' bus stop. From there, walk down Kipparitie towards the nature trail entrance at Kipparitie 4. A single bus fare costs approximately €3-4.

  • Walking

    From Santalahti Resort, the nature trail is easily accessible by foot. Follow the signs from the resort towards Kipparitie 4. The walk is short, approximately 10-15 minutes, offering a pleasant introduction to the natural surroundings.

  • Car

    From the center of Kotka, head southeast on Kymenlaaksonkatu toward Puistokatu. Continue onto Rautatienkatu. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Kymenpuistotie and follow it to the next roundabout. Take the third exit onto Kipparitie. After about 1 kilometer, you will find Santalahti Nature Trail on your right at Kipparitie 4. Free parking is available at the trailhead. If the parking area is full, additional parking is available at Santalahti Camping.
