Getting There

• Car

  From Juniper Springs Recreation Area, head southwest on FL-40 W toward US-19 S. After about 10 miles, merge onto US-41 S. Continue for approximately 7 miles, then turn right onto SW 81st Pl Rd. Follow this road for about half a mile, and you will arrive at Rainbow Springs State Park, located at 19158 SW 81st Pl Rd, Dunnellon, FL 34432. Be sure to check for parking fees upon arrival, which are typically around $2 per vehicle.

• Public Transportation

  If you're utilizing public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from Juniper Springs Recreation Area to Ocala. From Ocala, you can catch a Greyhound or local bus service to Dunnellon. Once in Dunnellon, it’s advisable to use a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) or a local taxi to reach Rainbow Springs State Park, as public transport may not directly service the park. Expect to pay around $20-30 for the rideshare from Dunnellon to the park.

• Biking

  For those adventurous enough to bike, you can ride from Juniper Springs Recreation Area. Start on FL-40 W and then merge onto US-41 S. The total distance is roughly 17 miles, and it can take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your biking speed. Please ensure you have appropriate biking gear, and be mindful of traffic along the roads.
