To reach Passage Key National Wildlife Refuge from central Sarasota, take the Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) bus Route 3 towards Anna Maria Island. Board the bus at the nearest SCAT stop. The bus will take you along the coast, providing beautiful views. Disembark at the last stop on Anna Maria Island, which is the Anna Maria City Pier. From the pier, walk north along the beach until you reach the north end of Anna Maria Island. From there, you should be able to see the Refuge across the water.
