Start from any location in St. Petersburg Beach. Head south on Gulf Boulevard towards Pass-a-Grille. Continue until you reach the intersection with 22nd Avenue South and turn left. Follow 22nd Avenue South until it leads you to the Pinellas Bayway (Highway 682). Take the Bayway south towards the Skyway Bridge. After crossing the bridge, follow the signs for Egmont Key Ferry Service, located at the southern end of the bridge. Parking is available at the ferry terminal for a fee, typically around $10 per day. The ferry ride to Egmont Key takes about 30 minutes.

Public Transportation
From your location in St. Petersburg Beach, take the local bus route (check the local transit authority for exact routes and schedules). You will likely need to transfer at a central hub in St. Petersburg, such as the Central Avenue Trolley station. From there, take a bus towards the Pinellas Bayway. After reaching the Bayway, you will still need to arrange for the Egmont Key Ferry, as public transportation does not take you directly to the island. The ferry service does have a fee, usually around $15 for a round trip.
