Car
If you're driving from St. Petersburg Beach, start by heading north on Gulf Boulevard. After about 1.5 miles, turn left onto 54th Avenue S. Continue on 54th Avenue S until you reach the intersection with 34th Street S (US-19). Turn right onto 34th Street S and follow it south. After approximately 2 miles, take the exit for Pinellas Bayway (SR-682) toward Tierra Verde. Follow the Bayway, and you will see signs for Pinellas National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge entrance is located at 33715 St. Petersburg, FL. Make sure to check if there are any parking fees, which can vary based on the season.

To reach Pinellas National Wildlife Refuge using public transportation, you can take the PSTA bus. Start by locating the nearest bus stop along Gulf Boulevard where the 59 bus operates. Ride the 59 bus towards the St. Petersburg area. Transfer to the 100X bus at the bus terminal, heading toward Tierra Verde. Get off at the stop closest to the entrance of Pinellas National Wildlife Refuge. Be aware of the bus schedule as it may not run frequently, and check for the latest fares on the PSTA website to ensure you have the correct amount for the bus fare.

For those who prefer cycling, renting a bike from a local shop in St. Petersburg Beach is a great option. Start your journey heading north on Gulf Boulevard, then take 54th Avenue S, as mentioned in the driving directions. The bike ride will take you through scenic areas and is approximately 5 miles.
