Walking
From the center of Jonzac, such as the market square (Place du Marché), the Château de Jonzac is easily accessible by foot. Head east along Rue de Verdun, a pedestrianized shopping street, until you reach Rue James Sclafer. Turn left and walk uphill towards the Place du Château. The walk is short and offers views of the town. All parking in Jonzac is free, but limited to certain timeframes in the 'blue zone'.

If arriving by train at Jonzac station, you can take the line 4312 bus towards the town center. Get off at the Champ de Foire stop, which is a short walk from the castle. From there, walk along Rue Sadi Carnot and turn onto Rue James Sclafer, which leads directly to the Château de Jonzac. A bus ticket costs approximately €3.
