    From Le Mont-Dore city center, follow the signs towards Sancy/Station du Mont-Dore. The Sancy Cable Car is located 3km from Le Mont-Dore. Parking is available at the foot of the Sancy, with fees of €4 for a half-day and €7 for a full day during the summer season (May 1 to October 31). Free parking is available in winter. A specific parking area is designated for motorhomes during the day.

  • Public Transport

    From Clermont-Ferrand, take a TER bus to Le Mont-Dore. From Le Mont-Dore, local bus lines or taxis can take you to the foot of Puy de Sancy and the Sancy Cable Car. Bus line P45 connects La Bourboule, Le Mont-Dore and Le Sancy. A taxi from Clermont-Ferrand to Puy de Sancy is also an option. Bus tickets from Clermont-Ferrand to Le Mont-Dore cost approximately €8-12.

  • Cable Car

    The Sancy Cable Car is the fastest and easiest way to ascend Puy de Sancy. The cable car is located at the foot of the mountain, 3km from Le Mont-Dore. A return ticket costs between €14.50 and €20.50 for adults. From the arrival point of the cable car, it is a 20-minute walk to the summit via a staircase.
