Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Arles, which is one of the major access points in the Camargue region. From Arles, head southeast on D570 toward Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. After about 15 km, take the exit toward Chemin de l'Étourneau. Follow this road for approximately 5 km until you reach the entrance to Marshes Nature Reserve Vigueirat located at Mas Thibert. There is a parking area available, and please note that there may be a small fee for parking, depending on the season.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transport, you can take a train from Avignon to Arles, which runs frequently. Once in Arles, you can find local bus services that go towards Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Look for bus line 1, which will take you to a stop near Mas Thibert. From the bus stop, it is about a 10-minute walk to the reserve entrance. Be sure to check the local bus schedules ahead of time, as they may have limited services on weekends.

  If you are feeling adventurous, cycling is a great way to explore the area. From Arles, you can rent a bicycle and take the designated bike paths heading towards Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. The route is scenic and will take you through the beautiful landscapes of the Camargue. Make sure to follow the signs for Mas Thibert, and it should take about 1 to 1.5 hours to reach the reserve.
