Travel Guide to Rangen (grand cru)

Getting There

• Train

  From Colmar, walk to the Colmar train station (Gare de Colmar), which is about a 10-minute walk from the city center. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Thann. The trains to Thann run regularly, so check the timetable for the next departure. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes. Once you arrive at Thann station, exit the station and head north towards Rue de la Gare. Follow this road until you reach Rue de la Liberté, where you will turn left. Continue straight, and you will eventually see signs directing you to Rangen (grand cru) vineyard, which is located in the area known for its vineyards.

• Bus

  From Colmar, head to the nearest bus stop, 'Gare Routière de Colmar,' located close to the train station. Look for bus lines that head towards Thann or the surrounding vineyards; you can ask at the information desk for the best route. Buses may take a bit longer than trains, so be sure to check the schedule. Once you arrive in Thann, disembark at the main bus station. From there, follow the same walking directions as provided for the train option: walk towards Rue de la Gare, turn left onto Rue de la Liberté, and follow the signs to Rangen (grand cru).

• Walking from Thann

  If you decide to walk from the Thann train or bus station, exit the station and head north towards Rue de la Gare. Continue along this road, which will eventually lead you to the vineyards. Look for signs indicating Rangen (grand cru) or ask locals for directions. The walk through the picturesque vineyards will provide a beautiful backdrop as you approach your destination.
