Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are near the iconic Sacré-Cœur Basilica, head down from the basilica towards Rue du Chevalier de la Barre. Turn right onto Rue du Mont Cenis and continue straight until you reach Rue Cortot. Turn left onto Rue Cortot, and you will find Musée de Montmartre located at number 12 on your right. The walk takes approximately 10-15 minutes and offers beautiful views of Montmartre.

  • Funicular

    If you are at the base of the hill and prefer a funicular ride, you can take the Montmartre Funicular from the base of the hill to the top near Sacré-Cœur. Once you exit the funicular, walk down the steps towards Rue du Chevalier de la Barre, then turn right and follow the previous walking directions towards Musée de Montmartre. Note that the funicular ride costs about €1.90.

    If you are coming from another part of Paris, take Line 2 of the Metro and get off at the station 'Anvers'.
