To reach Pension Kanahau, first make your way to the main harbor of Atuona on Hiva Oa. There are regular boat services from other islands in the Marquesas, including Ua Pou and Nuku Hiva. Upon arrival at Atuona, disembark at the harbor. From the harbor, Pension Kanahau is approximately 1.5 kilometers away. You can either walk or take a local taxi to reach the pension.

From the harbor in Atuona, head southeast along the coast towards the main road. Follow the signs towards the center of Atuona. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach a junction. Take a left turn and continue on this road, which will lead you toward the direction of Pension Kanahau. The pension is located at coordinates 6X29+48C, Hiva Oa. It should take about 20-30 minutes to walk there.
