If you are driving from the main town of Papeete, take Route 1 towards Taravao. This scenic route will take you along the coast and through the lush landscape of Tahiti. Continue on Route 1 until you reach the junction at Taravao. Here, take the exit towards Route 21, which will lead you to Teahupo'o. Follow Route 21 for about 30 minutes, enjoying the views of the ocean and the mountains. Once you arrive in Teahupo'o, look for PK 0, which is located at the western end of the village near the beach.

To reach Teahupo'o via public transportation, start from Papeete Bus Station. Look for the bus marked 'Papeete - Taravao'. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour to reach Taravao. Once you arrive at Taravao, transfer to a local bus heading towards Teahupo'o. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited. The local bus will drop you off near PK 0 in Teahupo'o. Make sure to have some cash for the bus fare, which is typically around 300 XPF (French Pacific Franc) for each leg of the journey.
