From Papeete or Faaa International Airport, follow the coastal road (Route 1) southeast towards Taravao. Continue past Taravao, following the signs to Tautira. The drive takes approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes. Parking is available near the bay, though it can be limited during peak hours. Car rentals are available at the airport. Rental cars start at around $50 per day.
