Getting There
Walking
Starting from the Mtskheta town center, head south towards the main square. You will find the old church, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, directly in front of you. From there, turn left onto the main road (A65) and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Uplistsikhe. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will reach a fork in the road; take the left path that leads towards Kvakhvreli. Continue on this road for another 2 kilometers until you see the entrance to Uplistsikhe on your right.
Bus
From the Mtskheta central bus station, board a minibus heading to Gori. Make sure to inform the driver that you are going to Uplistsikhe. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach the stop for Uplistsikhe, disembark and walk back along the road for about 500 meters, and you will see the entrance to Uplistsikhe on your left.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Mtskheta. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Uplistsikhe. The drive will take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off right at the entrance of Uplistsikhe.
