Getting There

  • Walking

    From the central part of Signagi, start at the main square near the Signagi Museum. Head southeast on Kote Marjanishvili Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Aghmashenebeli Street. Turn left onto Aghmashenebeli Street and continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach the outskirts of Signagi. Look for signs pointing towards Velistsikhe. At this point, you can also ask locals for directions as they are usually very helpful. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach RQ47+W9W, Velistsikhe, which is the Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking.

  • Public Transport

    From Signagi, walk to the bus station located near the main square, close to the Signagi Museum. Look for a minibus (marshrutka) heading to Velistsikhe. The fare is usually very affordable (around 1-2 GEL). Once you are on the minibus, inform the driver that you want to get off at Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking. The drive is approximately 15-20 minutes. After getting off, walk toward RQ47+W9W, and you will find the winery.
