Public Transport

From Berchtesgaden Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take bus line 838 towards Obersalzberg. Alight at the 'Kempinski Hotel' stop. From there, it's approximately a 15-minute walk (about 1 km) to the Adlergehege. Follow the signs towards Hintereck. Bus 838 is free with the Gästekarte (guest card) provided by many accommodations in the Berchtesgaden area.
Driving

From Berchtesgaden, follow the B319 (Salzbergstraße) towards Obersalzberg. Continue on this road until you see signs for the Adlergehege. Limited free parking is available near the Hintereck bus terminus, a short walk from the Adlergehege. Parking can be crowded during peak season. As of May 2025, parking costs around €3 for cars.
Walking

If you are visiting the Dokumentation Obersalzberg, the Adlergehege is approximately a 25-minute walk (about 2 km). Follow the well-marked hiking path from the Dokumentation towards the Obersalzbergbahn (cable car) and then continue towards Hintereck. The path is mostly flat and offers scenic views.
