Getting there

Public Transport

From Golling-Abtenau train station, take the bus towards Golling. Get off at the Golling Wasserfall stop. From there, follow the signs to the Golling Waterfall and the hiking trails leading to Kleiner Göll. Bus fare is approximately €3-5.

Car

From Salzburg, take the A10 Tauernautobahn towards Villach. Take the Golling exit and follow the signs to Golling and then to the Golling Waterfall. There are parking spaces available near the waterfall. Parking fees range from €3-5 per day. Note that a toll vignette is required for driving on the A10 autobahn.

Walking

From the center of Golling, follow the Bluntaustrasse. Continue to follow the signs for the Golling Waterfall (Gollinger Wasserfall). The walk to the waterfall takes approximately 45 minutes. From the waterfall, follow the hiking trails to Kleiner Göll.

While overshadowed by the more famous Hoher Göll, Kleiner Göll offers a demanding and satisfying hiking experience with rewarding panoramic views.The ascent is known for its steepness, with some routes involving a climb of over 1,000 meters. The trails wind through forests and rocky terrain, requiring good physical fitness and appropriate hiking gear. The most popular trails start near the Golling Waterfall. Other trails begin in Kühschwalb.Reaching the summit of Kleiner Göll provides breathtaking views of the surrounding Alps, including the Hoher Göll, Hohes Brett, and the Tennengebirge range. The peak offers a sense of accomplishment and a chance to immerse oneself in the beauty of the Austrian landscape.
