Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from any location in Brandenburg, head towards the A10 autobahn. Depending on your starting point, you may take various local roads to connect to the A10. Once on the A10, follow the signs for Berlin and merge onto the A113 or A115, depending on your approach. As you enter Berlin, follow signs for 'Mitte' and take the exit toward B2/B5. Continue on B2/B5, which will lead you directly into the city center. Use a GPS or map application to navigate to Friedrichstraße 107, 10117 Berlin. Note that parking in the city center can be expensive, with fees typically ranging from €2 to €4 per hour. Look for public parking garages nearby.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Friedrichstadt-Palast using public transportation, first make your way to a regional train station in Brandenburg, such as Potsdam Hauptbahnhof. Take an S-Bahn (S-Bahn line S7 or S25) towards Berlin. Get off at Friedrichstraße station. From there, it’s a short walk to Friedrichstraße 107, which will take approximately 5 minutes. Follow the signs for 'Friedrichstraße' and exit towards the street of the same name. The total travel time from Potsdam to Friedrichstadt-Palast is about 45 minutes.   If you prefer bus travel, you can take a regional bus from various locations in Brandenburg to Berlin. For instance, from Potsdam, you can catch the bus number 606 to Berlin, which will take you to the central bus station (ZOB). From ZOB, transfer to the U-Bahn (subway) and take line U2 towards Pankow. Get off at Friedrichstraße station. The bus journey takes approximately 1 hour, and the U-Bahn ride is about 10 minutes. Bus tickets typically cost around €3.40, and you will need to purchase a transfer ticket if you plan to use the U-Bahn.
