Car
From Oberammergau, start by heading northeast on Ammerstraße/B2 towards the town of Ettal. Continue on B2 for about 12 kilometers. Follow the signs for Füssen/Neuschwanstein Castle. Turn right onto Neuschwansteinstraße, and you will find Neuschwanstein Castle at Neuschwansteinstraße 20, Schwangau. There is parking available near the castle.
Public Transportation
Take the bus from Oberammergau to Füssen. Board the bus at the Oberammergau bus station (Bushaltestelle Oberammergau) and travel for about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Füssen, transfer to bus line 73 or 78 that goes directly to Neuschwanstein Castle. Get off at the Neuschwanstein Castle stop, and follow the signs leading to the castle entrance, which is about a 20-minute walk uphill.
