If you're traveling by car, head towards Dortmund. Use the A1 or A2 autobahn depending on your starting location in Westphalia. Once you reach Dortmund, take the exit towards B1 towards Innenstadt (city center). Follow the signs for Innenstadt and continue onto B1. After approximately 5 km, take the exit towards B54/Platz der Deutschen Einheit. Follow the road signs until you reach Platz der Deutschen Einheit 1. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that parking fees may apply.

For those using public transportation, take a regional train (RE or RB) to Dortmund Hauptbahnhof (main station). From there, it's a 15-minute walk to the German Football Museum. Exit the train station and head southwest on Königstraße, then turn left onto Ostwall. Continue straight until you reach Platz der Deutschen Einheit. Alternatively, you can take tram line U45 or U47 from the station to the stop 'Stadthaus', which is just a short walk from the museum.

If you are near a bus stop, check for buses heading towards Dortmund city center. Lines 460, 462, and 466 frequently run to the main station. Once you arrive at Dortmund Hauptbahnhof, follow the same walking directions mentioned above to reach the museum.
