From the main entrance of the Alameda Botanic Gardens, head south towards the main road, Calle de la Alameda. Once you reach the road, turn left and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Calle de la Correa. Keep walking straight until you notice a small park on your right-hand side. Pl. Ortiz will be located just beyond this park, directly ahead as you cross the intersection.
