Start your journey by taking the Athens Metro. If you are near Syntagma Square, board the Metro Line 3 (the blue line) towards the 'Dafni' station. Get off at 'Evangelismos' station. From there, exit the station and follow the signs to the exit on Vassilissis Sofias Avenue.

Once you are on Vassilissis Sofias Avenue, walk towards the intersection with Kifisias Avenue. At the traffic lights, turn right onto Kifisias Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the entrance to the Lycabettus Hill funicular railway, which will be on your left.

Funicular
Take the funicular railway up to the Lycabettus Hill Viewing Area. The ride is approximately 3 minutes and offers stunning views as you ascend. Once you arrive at the top, follow the signs to the viewing area where you will be treated to breathtaking panoramas of Athens.

After enjoying the views, you can explore the surrounding area. To return, simply retrace your steps. Walk back to the funicular station and descend back to the base. Once you are back at the bottom, you can choose to explore nearby attractions or head back to your accommodation.
