Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving, head towards the center of Athens. Use the main roads, such as Leoforos Vasilissis Sofias. From there, follow signs for Lycabettus Hill. There are parking areas near the base of the hill, but note that there may be a parking fee. After parking, you will need to walk to the funicular station located at Aristippou 1, where you can take the funicular up to the Viewpoint Amphitheater.

  • Public Transportation (Metro)

    Take the Athens Metro Line 1 (Green Line) to the 'Kifisia' station and get off at 'Monastiraki' station. From Monastiraki, transfer to Line 3 (Blue Line) towards 'Dafni' and get off at 'Syntagma' station. From Syntagma, you can either walk (approximately 15-20 minutes) to the base of Lycabettus Hill or take a taxi to the funicular station located at Aristippou 1.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    Look for bus lines 204, 227, or 622 that have stops at Kolonaki. Get off at the stop 'Kolonaki Square' and from there, you can walk to the funicular station at Aristippou 1. The walk will take you about 10 minutes. The bus fare is approximately €1.40.

  • Funicular

    Once you reach the funicular station at Aristippou 1, purchase a ticket for the funicular ride to the top of Lycabettus Hill. The fare is around €7 for a round trip. Enjoy the scenic ride up the hill, which provides great views of Athens. Once you arrive at the top, follow the signs to the Viewpoint Amphitheater.
