    From Athens, head to the Larissa Train Station (Σταθμός Λαρίσης). Once at Larissa Station, purchase a ticket to Kalabaka (Καλπάκι). Trains to Kalabaka usually run several times a day. The journey takes about 4-5 hours.     Alternatively, you can take a KTEL bus from the KTEL Kifissou Bus Station (Σταθμός ΚΤΕΛ Κηφισού). To get there, you can take Metro Line 1 (Green Line) to Omonia Station and then take a taxi or a local bus to KTEL Kifissou. Buses to Kalabaka run frequently throughout the day, and the journey takes approximately 4-5 hours. Tickets can be purchased at the KTEL Kifissou Bus Station.

    If you prefer a combination of both metro and bus or train, you can take Metro Line 1 (Green Line) to Omonia, then switch to Metro Line 2 (Red Line) to reach Larissa Train Station or take a taxi to KTEL Kifissou Bus Station.   • Walking (from Kalabaka Station to Meteora)

    Once you arrive in Kalabaka, you can easily reach Meteora by walking or taking a taxi. The monasteries are approximately 3-4 kilometers from the train/bus station. Walking will take about 45 minutes to an hour. Follow the main road uphill towards the rock formations, and you'll find signs directing you to the various monasteries.
