From Chania, go to the central bus station located at 1866 Square. You can take a local bus from here to Hora Sfakion. The bus service is provided by KTEL Chania-Rethymno and the journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as buses may not run frequently, especially in the off-peak season. Once you arrive in Hora Sfakion, you will be close to the start of Aradena Gorge.

Hiking
After arriving in Hora Sfakion, head towards the village center where you can ask for directions to Aradena Gorge. The gorge itself is about a 30 to 40-minute hike from Hora Sfakion. Follow the signs or ask locals for the path leading towards the gorge. The trail is well-marked and you will enjoy scenic views along the way.

Boat (optional)
Alternatively, from Hora Sfakion, you can take a boat to Agia Roumeli, which is located near the exit of the gorge. This option allows you to experience the stunning coastline of Crete. If you choose this route, ensure you check the boat schedule as it may vary. From Agia Roumeli, you would then hike back through the gorge to reach the starting point.
