    From Corfu Town, take a Green Bus (KTEL) from the Corfu Green Bus Terminal on Leoforos Eptanisou towards Giannades. Check the bus schedule for the Ropa Valley route. Tickets can be purchased at San Rocco Square or from the driver, costing approximately €1.60 - €8.00 depending on the distance. From Giannades, it's a short walk or taxi ride to the estate.

    Taxis are readily available in Corfu Town and can take you directly to Theotoky Estate in Ropa Valley. The journey is approximately 17 km and takes around 20 minutes. Expect to pay between €30-€40 for the trip, depending on traffic and time of day. Ensure the driver resets the taximeter at the beginning of the journey, with a base fare of €3.60 and a price per km of €1.10.

Spanning over 300 acres, the estate is a picturesque blend of vineyards, olive groves, and pine forests. The Theotoky family, with roots tracing back to Constantinople, has owned the estate for generations, with several members distinguishing themselves in Greek politics. The renowned painter El Greco is also a descendant of the same family.In the 1960s, Georges Theotoky revitalized the estate, modernizing the winemaking process while preserving the traditional character of the buildings. Today, Theotoky Estate is known for its organic wines and cold-pressed extra virgin olive oils. Visitors can explore the vineyards, the wine cellar, and the olive press, and even visit the Theotoky Estate Museum. The museum showcases the evolution of winemaking with old machinery, illustrating the historical process.Beyond winemaking, the estate houses a remarkable library with approximately 35,000 ancient and modern books, maps, and journals focusing on the Byzantine Empire, the Balkans, and the Ionian Islands. The library, located in a restored ancient farm building, is a unique private collection dedicated to preserving history and culture. The estate is open for tours and tastings, offering visitors a chance to sample local wines such as Kakotrygis and Lianolia, and learn about the winemaking traditions of Corfu.
