From Rethymno city center, head to the central bus station located at 5, Andrea Kapetanaki Street. Look for buses heading to Chania. The bus ride to Marathi takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you get off the bus, follow the signs towards the beach, which is only a short walk from the bus stop.

You can take a taxi from anywhere in Rethymno to Marathi Beach. Simply hail a taxi or call a local taxi service. The ride will take around 25 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to mention 'Marathi Beach' to the driver. Upon arrival, you will find yourself right at the beach area.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Rethymno. Head towards the coastal road that leads west out of the city. The route is scenic, taking you along the coast. Follow the signs towards Marathi, which is about 10 km from the city center. The ride will take approximately 40-50 minutes, and once you arrive, you will find the beautiful beach waiting for you.
