If you're traveling by private car from Antigua, head southwest on CA-1 for approximately 30 kilometers. Then, take a left onto CA-9 and continue for around 20 kilometers until you reach the town of San Vicente Pacaya. From there, follow the signs to the national park entrance (Entrada: Parque Nacional Volcan De Pacaya), which is about 10 kilometers further. The total drive should take about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Be sure to check for any parking fees at the entrance.

Public Transportation (Chicken Bus)
To reach the park via public transportation, take a chicken bus from Antigua to San Vicente Pacaya. Buses leave frequently from the main bus terminal in Antigua. The ride costs around 10 GTQ (Guatemalan Quetzal) and takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in San Vicente Pacaya, you will need to take a taxi or a tuk-tuk to the park entrance, which will cost approximately 20-30 GTQ and take another 10-15 minutes.
