Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car, start your journey from any location in the Börzsöny Mountains and head towards Budapest. Follow the signs for the M2 motorway. Once on the M2, continue until you reach the junction for the M0 ring road. Take the M0 towards Szeged and merge onto the M1 towards Budapest. Once you approach the city, follow the signs for 'Buda' and then 'Vár' (Castle District). You can park at nearby parking facilities such as the 'Clark Ádám tér' parking garage, which is within a short walking distance to Fisherman's Bastion.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, begin your journey from the nearest bus or train station in the Börzsöny Mountains. Take a bus or train to Budapest's Nyugati Railway Station (Nyugati pályaudvar). From Nyugati, you can take the Metro Line 3 (blue line) to Deák Ferenc tér. At Deák Ferenc tér, transfer to Metro Line 2 (red line) and get off at the 'Széll Kálmán tér' station. From Széll Kálmán tér, you can either walk (about 20 minutes) or take a bus (Bus 16 or 16A) to your final stop at 'Március 15. tér,' which is a short walk to Fisherman's Bastion.

From Március 15. tér, walk towards the Fisherman's Bastion by following the signs leading you uphill through the picturesque streets of Buda.
