Getting There

  • Public Transport

    To reach Duna-Ipoly Nemzeti Park from the city center, start by taking the M2 (Red Line) metro from any central station such as Deák Ferenc tér. Travel towards Déli pályaudvar and get off at the end station. From Déli pályaudvar, exit the metro station and look for the bus stop outside. Board bus number 29 or 105, which heads towards 'Középhegy' or 'Budaörsi út'. After approximately 15-20 minutes, get off at the 'Költő utca' stop, which is located near the entrance of the park. Walk a short distance to reach the main entrance of Duna-Ipoly Nemzeti Park at Költő utca 21.

  • Tram and Bus

    Another option is to take tram line 4 or 6 from locations like Deák Ferenc tér or Nyugati pályaudvar. Travel to the stop 'Széll Kálmán tér' (previously known as Moszkva tér). Here, transfer to bus number 29 or 105 heading towards 'Középhegy' or 'Budaörsi út'. Get off at the 'Költő utca' stop. From there, walk to the park entrance at Költő utca 21.

  • Walking and Public Transport

    If you prefer a scenic route, you can take the M1 (Yellow Line) metro from the city center to 'Vörösmarty tér'. From there, walk towards the Danube River and cross the Chain Bridge. Once across, continue walking in the direction of Buda Castle. Head towards 'Krisztinaváros' and follow signs for public transport. Take bus number 29 or 105 from the nearest bus stop to the park which will drop you off at 'Költő utca'. The park entrance is a short walk from there.
