Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car from Duna-Ipoly National Park, head towards the M1 motorway, following signs for Budapest. After approximately 40-50 minutes of driving, take the exit towards 'Budapest-Centrum'. As you approach the city, follow signs to the city center. Once in Budapest, navigate to District V. and look for Fővám tér, located at coordinates 47.4872471, 19.0570678. There are parking facilities nearby, but expect to pay a parking fee, which can vary between 300-600 HUF per hour.

• Public Transport

  For those using public transportation, start from any central location in Duna-Ipoly National Park and take a bus to the nearest train station, such as Szentendre or Visegrád. From there, take a train to Budapest Nyugati Railway Station. Once at Nyugati, transfer to Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest. Disembark at Ferenciek tere station. From Ferenciek tere, it’s a short walk to Fővám tér, following the signs. Public transport tickets cost around 350 HUF per ride.
