From the East Fjords, head towards Route 1 (the Ring Road) which is the main road that circles the country. If you are in places like Seyðisfjörður or Egilsstaðir, follow the signs to Route 1. Once you reach Route 1, drive eastbound towards Höfn. The drive will take approximately 2 to 3 hours depending on your starting point. Make sure to stop at scenic viewpoints along the way. Follow the signs for Hlíðarberg in Hornafjörður, which is your destination.
