Car
If you're driving from Egilsstaðir, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) towards Seyðisfjörður. After approximately 30 kilometers, turn onto Route 93 towards Breiðdalsvík. Continue on Route 93 until you reach Route 1 again, then turn left. Hvalnes Nature Reserve Beach will be on your right after about 40 kilometers. Look for the parking area and trail leading to the beach.

To reach Hvalnes Nature Reserve Beach by public transport, you can take a bus from Egilsstaðir heading towards Höfn. Check the local bus schedules, as they may vary. You will want to get off at the Hvalnes stop. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to the beach. Be sure to confirm the stop with the bus driver, as some services may not stop at Hvalnes.
