If you are driving, set your GPS to 'G5FP+VXG, Smáragrund, Bakkagerði, 720 Borgarfjörður Eystri'. From Egilsstaðir, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading east. After approximately 25 km, take the exit for Route 93 towards Borgarfjörður Eystri. Continue on Route 93 for about 35 km until you reach Bakkagerði. The destination will be along Smáragrund street. There is free parking available nearby.
